St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Portland, Oregon, is a welcoming fellowship of Christians who seek to be inclusive and affirming of all people. Our mission states: “We seek to reach out to all people with a caring fellowship so that all people will know the love of Jesus Christ and seek to serve him in the world.” The short-hand for our mission is: Caring, Sharing and Daring. During Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m. we sing great music, enjoy a wonderful choir and center our worship around God’s word. Each week we hear powerful preaching of God’s good news in Jesus Christ: God doesn’t keep score, and we don’t need to either; because it’s all about forgiveness. After a special children’s time near the start of worship, children head downstairs for “Tiny Tims,” a special learning and fun time for the young. We are known for our outstanding commitment to health, health ministry, and parish nursing. We have an accessible building that works for persons of all abilities.
